Gina's Orange Honey CArrots

steam carrots 12-15 minutes

    (separately)

melt butter & stir in brown sugar, honey & orange juice to make a syrup.

Drain the carrots & pour syrup mixture over the top.

bake at 350F for 10 minutes

Ingredients

1lb bag of mini carrots 

2 tblsp. ofmelted butter

1/3cup of brown sugar

1tblsp. honey

1tblsp.orange juice

These cute little frogs are a simple variation on your favorite sugar cookie recipe.

 

 

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour 

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar

  • 1 egg 

  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract.

  • Frog cookie cutter (or feel free to create your own style)

  • Some green sugar sprinkles or green frosting (frost after baking).

  • Green or blue food coloring. (for eyes)

  • Mint Hershey Kisses or other.

  •   

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.

  • Set aside.

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

  • Set half aside.

   

       Use your cookie cutter to make frogs, shamrocks etc. &                   name your cookies to suit your You-nique style!

       Use the food coloring to give your frogs their eyes.

       Sprinkle with green candy/sugar sprinkles or after baking, use         green frosting.

         

      * Bake these cookies first.*

       Then:

  • Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool.

  •  

  • *While still soft, insert your first batch of cookies.  onto the base lily pad cookie.

       When cooled, top pad with mint Hershey Kisses & enjoy! ;-)
